Pros & Cons

Pros

I have a small head and was pleased at how well they fit and how lightweight they were. Now when i misplace my more expensive blue light blocker glasses i still grab these in a pinch. Absolutely do the job when it comes to blue laser light filtering.

They do their job by protecting my eyes from debris and glare without reducing clarity. The case is a semi-hard one, should protect them from moderate *. Allows you to see the microscopic fireball produced when your laser is burning things.

This set has perfectly acceptable performance, and allows me to perform laser etching and engraving work with my multi-watt laser safely. Infrared remote goes straight through. Green legal limit pointer (532nm attenuated, but not blocked.

Cons

Od = log(53000/2300) = 1. This product has the ca prop 65 warning.

The glasses are not rated for a very good reason. Could have just worn sunglasses at home at night to get same effect. Uvex skyped blocks almost all blue light. Regular sunglasses work better.

They do a good job in toning down the laser light but as i wrote earlier they are very dark and make the workplace on your machine difficult to make out small details

When i look at the spot on the wall it looks as though the laser is just a 1 mw from a walmart in contrast to an intensity like looking directly into the sun
