I got some electrical tape and masked off the back so the pins wont touch the new hard drive

Also get the two pack in case you got a faulty board or did the dumb thing like i did

I was able to clone the hdd to hdd but when it came time to boot from the new sata hdd it didnt work

Both adapters despite having a bit of a rough soldering job and component lead ends that stabbed me in the finger worked

Edit i thought this adapter only supported ultra ata 100 but it was the drive that wouldnt support ultra ata 133
