The biggest flaw with these is the suction cup feet work so well that they are always getting stuck to the bottom of whatever you lower them into and when you try to remove the pump the feet remain stuck to the bottom of the barrel or bucket your are using

I dont believe it could pump the stated 475 gph as that would work out to almost 8 gallons a minute and there is no way it can do that through the 12 inch fitting i am using

Also you have to remember that i am pumping upward from a 3 and a half foot deep barrel and thats more than half the stated headlift
