Pros
Hdmi splitter is great for using a roku or chromecast with a led projector. Used a “y” splitter to join l/r rca jacks to a single 3. Mm jack. Allows me to send whatever source audio is selected on the matrix switch directly to my stereo amplifier.
No degradation in video quality. Bought this to be able to use a roku 3 with my tv but use my old receiver for the sound.
Cons

And another note there is no lr analog rca output unless some lpcm multichannel conditions are met so far i havent been able to so i am limited to digital audio output only in my current source

Edit i returned it and bought ryxn ryarc01 asin b09ndb7r7h for cheaper its a simpler hdmi but its arc is better for my needs since i just need audio from my screen arc port and the product i am reviewing only provides digital output but the ryxn is a proper hdmi dac because it outputs analog audio for my needs because i want to be able to use my monitors remote to change volume instead of adjusting the speakers but with this product only the optical digital has a signal and those digital signals dont respond to volume adjustments on screen and definitely dont turn onoff with the monitor as an arc sound bar would
