Quality
Sound quality was good, used the optical out to my sound bar with no latency once i got the settings dialled in correctly.
I’m able to run 2 screens, 2x consoles, a sound system and all without lag or performance issues, it’s fantastic.
With a plastic casing one should not expect the product to last much more than a few short months as the circuitry continuosly overheats.
The current soundbar is bad enough with 3in/1out hdmi ports, the newer one has one less hdmi in.
Price
Price wise at just over £70 for such a sophisticated device i think this is a very good deal.
Reflecting this it is expensive which is more or less justified but at around £90 at time of review of shaved a star off for the price.
I wish i just spent the money and bought this from the outset - it has definitely been third time lucky!
However it’s worth every penny of the purchase price.
Packaging/appearance
Arrived well-packaged as shown in the attached photos.
The box itself looks and feels very well made and has a decent weight to – a quality weight.
I got this breakout box as i have two laptops that i want to connect to a 27” monitor that has a maximum display of 1920 x 1200.
The device comes well packaged with everything you need, except the hdmi leads.
Competitiveness
Although more expensive than the cheaper hdmi switchers available, this is definitely superior in quality and performance.
This shouldn’t be confused with the run of the mill, cheaper hdmi switchers that are commonly available.

This matrix also has optical out which though ive only recently moved away from still have a bluetooth transmitter that supports optical in though will only be outputting in stereo

The remote works fine though i have these commands programmed into my universal remote and the onboard buttons otherwise work for quick swaps

Supports serial commands over usb or rs232 cabling which is tempting to build a control panel near the couch but otherwise this would be great in a commercial setting which is why ill be using ezcoos 4k kvm matrix for a commercial project due to the serial commands simplicity
