Pros

For this purpose, it performs beautifully. For a pretty moderate price, this takes the worry out of it and also reduces the hassle for him. Would recommend this switch.

The switch over takes a little time but it is far more convenient than switching hdmi cords all the time. Button switches from one to the other, with a little light indicating which is selected. Easy install and works great.

Cons

I have to unplug all three (brand new and tested) hdmi cables and put them back in and that works most of the time. It's almost as if the device times out after a set period of time and returns to the other output.

This is a great product, works very well and is simple to hook up and use.

Picture quality hasn't been impacted as far as i can tell, and the transition from one input to another is nearly seamless.

Picture quality coming out of the switch is the same as the quality going into the switch.

It was plug and play from the get go and the picture quality seems good, but i do not have a 4k or monitor that would really test this.

Competitiveness

At first, i thought i had a bad blu-ray disc, but when i plugged the player directly into the television, it worked just fine.
