My straps, consist mostly of bungees and whatever ratchets either survived or someone gave me.

These are very sturdy straps and with my 10x10 foot pop up tent the stakes at the base of each foot did not give me the peace of mind that during a high gust of wind the tent wouldnt take off

When the strap tongue is placed into the slot you should only need about six to ten good ratchets to tighten them up

That way when you loosen them the double releases let the strap unroll right out easily
