As far as cleaning goes like other people mentioned here never place salt block directly under running water nor scrub it with dishwater detergent unless you want to ruin your block

I take my reviews very seriously and try to educate myself more into the product before any use so in this particular situation it will be an ongoing process since i am trying to be careful at the same time as being investigative

Only disappointed a small bit becuase most corners on block are chipped but its cosmetic issue
