Pros & Cons
Pros
Lumbar support slides onto existing side panels, if you've tapped it on unevenly, just remove and put it back on, or gently tap to even it out. I was a little hesitant to order this lumbar pad.
Easy to install and works like a charm. I even appreciate the instructions that came with it.
Cons
The original one is far firmer than these replacements. Obviously these are not made to the same specifications as the factory ones. Either herman miller's product are inferior now than it once was 10+ years ago, or they actually use a different produ... Read More
The memory foam lumbar support pillows are closer to $25. Its impossible to get up and sit back down without having to adjust it. The foam pad feels like a bar across the back.
Seems to be made pretty cheaply as it is just two hard plastic parts embedded in some foam. Over time the hard plastic tears through the foam. Pretty disappointing for such and expensive and otherwise wonderfully constructed chair.
Highlights
Quality
The aeron chair is an amazing product.
I initially ordered the wrong size, but greg in customer service helped me return and replace with the correct size.
The only thing thats a con is that it may shift out of place but i think that comes along with the chair.
Shipping
However, the service and shipping speed was excellent, the product is genuine, and the fit is perfect.
Competitiveness
Huge difference compared to the stock piece.
You can buy them cheaper than anywhere at designerseating.

The problem could be easily fixed by molding a strip of 304 stainless in the pad and at the price point this would be inconsequential but there would be less money to be made if the stupid thing didnt break every now and then
