The seat is very comfortable, breathes well, offers great support and is built to last. The comfort level is unmatched. One complaint is that the fabric on it does generate quite a bit of static.
The mirra 2 has a lattice structure that has curvatures to cradle your back. Lumbar support is the most important adjustment to fit the curvature of your spine. This chair is trouble solver.
The embody has what i would call an airframe. Aeron is similar but a mesh. It's not bulky, easy to use.
The aero and gesture have adjustable lumbar supports. If you want more arm adjustability, the gesture offers more. The armrests are firm and durable but soft if you try to dig into them with your elbow. I wish it had more adjustments for the arm chair... Read More

All roads led to this one and although the price was of the sticker shock level, i decided to go for it as my health was more important.
The herman miller embody was well worth the price paid.
This is also a tax write off, so the high price is offset substantially.

Right out of the box, fully assembled.
Competitiveness
For the past 3 years i've been using a herman miller aeron at the office and a crappier staples chair at home.
That is a no-brainer if you've ever felt too low in your current office chair.
It comes at a premium, but i would much rather buy a nice chair once than continually rebuy bad chairs.
