I can do one side with no problem but the whole cube nope

As i child i ruined one by trying to take all stickers off and stick them back on solved but they never quite stick again after being pealed

Before if it wasnt lined up perfectly it wouldnt turn

I took it with me and went online to find a rubiksolve website and looked like a genius to them when i returned a couple minutes later with it solved
