I bought two sets of these a set is a box of 6 glasses to replace a motley assemblage comprised of the remainders of similar sets acquired over the years most members of each having long ago broken

They have the look of something blown by hand rather than mass produced

My main gripe is that these glasses unlike all my older ones do not have flat bases

This is not a problem until i try to wash them in the dishwasher in which case they are upside down

The soapy water collects in those concave dimples and after the drying each glass is left with a cloudy residue on the bottom that i have to clean manually

My best guess is that these glasses might indeed be somewhat manually produced and having that concave bottom results in a lip that rests on the table and this avoids the glass rocking if the bottom is slight convex instead of concave
