I tested a variety of materials and it seemed to have trouble detecting shiny plastic that had an irregular surface

To reduce sensitivity turn the screw counter clockwise

I pointed it at the floor and gradually made the necessary adjustments you have to allow the light on the back of the unit to go off make an adjustment then move it towards the floor until the light goes on rinserepeat

If you just turn the screw it will not turn the indicator led off
