Pros & Cons
Pros
plenty loud enough for the $6 amp that it is. However, as far as laptop speakers go, this sounds better than the original laptop my speakers were salvaged from. Good performance and tiny pcb.
Highlights
Quality
I can't comment on sound quality, yet.
It's worth reading the datasheet for the driver chip used on this board, pam8403.
Price
Very good quality of assembly and sound and the price was perfect.

However after analyzing the actual datasheet for the driver ic it will only output the rated wattage 2x 3w into 4 ohm speakers at 10 distortionclipping which is not a very practical or pleasantsounding scenario

To get decent sound clarity less than 1 thd you can only expect to achieve about 2 watts per channel and about half of that for typical 8 ohm speakers

I saw people connecting this amp to usb

It makes small speakers plenty loud and i cant hear much noise at all even at full amplification and no output

The speakers im trying to drive with this are laptop speakers and therefore not representative for 34sound quality34

It says most applications will need ferrite beads on the output lines to prevent rfi as its a classd highfrequency switching device
Posted by a reviewer on Amazon
I didnt care about rfi but it turned out i still needed some small output inductors to prevent the chip from running very hot gt 1 w dissipation due to a constant largeamplitude ultrasonic output signal when connected to a capacitive load piezo tweeter

Putting in some small inductors fixed that and now it draws only 4 ma at 5 v before that fix it was 230 ma and the chip was too hot to touch
