The cousin kicked it one time and as it left the hand the strap did not stay connected to the pad at all but did stay on the wrist

There is no part of the strap left on the pad

The stitching on the pad at the site is actually still tight though

I think the issue is with there not being enough strap material inside the pad the stitching is too close to the end of the strap and that created the weak point
