I have tried the built in speakers and they do sound tinny to me but i never spent any time playing with the settings as i use a separate audio system

But frankly considering the quality of the display that you get for the price i think a lot of people would overlook this and get a soundbar

I did buy a soundbar as was worried after reading some reviews but the sound was great without it but even better with of course
