Pros

Holy this image is great, especially when hdr/dolby vision kicks in. This tv worked flawlessly, sound quality is ok but everything else is on par with modern tv.

The hisense u88h outperforms my more expensive sony tv. Hisense much better tv than samsung. Hd is amazing. Hdr is good and its better than vizio m series which i bought in 2019.

Local dimming is good when watching movies. The standout feature is the display. On-screen browser clumsy but effective.

The picture has black * and tons of brightness. Are inky, colors pop, and the brightness of the tv is shocking. On netflix 4k or youtube 4k, the picture and color is really great.

Cons

The screen start blinking after 2 week use! The screen ratio was locked on wide. The computer in this tv is under powered.

Local dimming is sketchy, where it doesn't dim it washes out. Google tv is just okay, it's a bit intrusive in terms of recommending things for you to watch. The interface on the home page is a bit sluggish, not as responsive as a roku interface -- pro... Read More

The canadian version being practically identical and priced at 700cad is shameful to all canadian customers. Very poor value.

Quality

Installation was easy, picture quality is great, menus are user friendly and i can connect to all my devices and server in the house!

idk about the negative comments but this tv worked flawlessly, sound quality is ok but everything else is on par with modern tv.

Play around with the default settings to get the best picture.

Price

The picture is excellent and the price is even better!

It has everything i can ask for with this price.

Competitiveness

Overall, i highly recommend this tv to anyone looking for a a higher tier display without the higher price.

Better than sony and samsung in this price range.

The biggest issue with samsung that apple airpods kept disconnecting.

I opted to use a google chromecast with google tv instead of the native os, as a streaming stick will always be better.
