Pros

This hisense set is a different beast. The build quality is excellent, no flex in this 75” tv. I like that the back of the set doesn’t have that ‘pregnancy bump’ that some older and even newer sets have, given that i was mounting this on the wall.

The improvement is instantly noticeable. It is light years brighter and nicer to look at than my old sony. The colors are vibrant and crisp.

Coming from a 2020 sharp/hisense 55” roku tv. My 4k roku and built in streaming features are good and performed well even 30 meg dsl. This tv has 4 hdmi ports 2 120 hz and 2 60 hz.

Sound is very good for a tv. Also, the speakers in this thing are incredibly underrated. Auto acoustic system did great since this is a free standing not wall mount. No issues with earc.

No blur or stutter. My racing sims look amazing on this tv. It has a new nexgen tuner and atsc 2.

Cons

Hisense rates the peak brightness of this display at 1000 nits but because tone mapping won't turn off in game mode, the ps5 calibration tests have the logos barely visible/disappear at roughly 4000-6000 nits. There are light black horizontal stripes ... Read More

Hisense refuses to give me a refund, and is shipping me a replacement. The earc is super buggy. They fail within 3 years generally just outside of extended warranty. A major flaw is that the volume of the headphones would dip ever so slightly.

The sheer inconvenience of this process is mind-boggling. Google functionality is inconsistent. It will not connect to my wifi -- i have to plug in directly with ethernet.

It takes 15 presses of the button to go through settings, sound, sound output, and eventually un-mute the speakers. The navigation menus go incredibly slow if using any type of external speaker for the audio output. The pause/play button on the remote... Read More

I can't get over the picture quality on this.

I'm so used to our purchasing a tv and the sound is awful, you'd buy the tv basically for video only.

For the money, this tv is perfect.

What an amazing tv for value for money.

I really have no idea what tvs that cost an extra 1k can bring that this one doesn't.

The u6 was at a terrific price point.

Shipping

Next thing i must say is the purchase and next day delivery was one of the most pleasant buying experiences i have had in my 83 yrs !

I will do a update if this happens but amazons 30 day return policy will be there if this should be the case.

Delivery was delayed a tad but got it the day promised.

If it arrived damaged, that is on the shipping company with which amazon contracts.

The look great but i hooked up a 4k 60hz roku box and use those apps on it.

Competitiveness

After extensive research, i chose hisense over my usual preferences of sony or samsung, and i'm astounded by the picture and colors.

I had a samsung q70a and this tv is by far better than the samsung.

If you are looking at the u8k or other competitors, you wont be disappointed with this and save hundreds of dollars.
