Pros & Cons
Pros
The ambient light rejecting screen works wonders. It also works on walls that are not very straight as we found out our wall has a good half an inch to an inch of deflection and it doesn't cause any issue. Coupled with the alr screen no trouble watchi... Read More
Interface easy, and very good app selection. Fully works with smart automation. Android os is very fast and smooth.
Hdmi 2 post on the hisense is the arc port for sound export. Have an atmos surround set up, but the built in speakers are impressive for being built in. Plug and play dolby vision and atmos.
The px1-pro has me blown away at the difference in color spectrum the tri-laser provides. Where this projector really shines is contrast, which i feel is fantastic. As advertised, the rainbow effect is hard to notice.
The projector comes in a separate box within the main shipping box so it is less likely to take damage. Screen assembly requires 2 people. Tools needs are phillips head medium driver and a phillip head driver with a very small head for small screws.
Cons
It gets really dark with bright flickers during any movie which is really distracting and frustrating. Manuals adjusting brightness or color has no effect.
Highlights
Quality
Am impressed by this projector and its quality on a simple 120 inch screen.
This screen is not an ambient light rejection screen the room we have this in is very dark during the day with black out curtai... Read More
With the light on obviously there is loss of quality due to lighting as its a 2000 lumens bulb.
Really annoying-hdr doesn’t seem to do a good job, if there are bright and dark scenes, the dark colours are washed away.
Price
Seriously, this is the best projector you can buy for around $3000 in 2022.
Great and quick customer service experience from the dealer for price adjustment.
I got mine for $2800 after watching prices like a hawk (amazon usually has the best price).
This display was also an amazon purchase around $350.
Shipping
Very pleased with the customer service, and quick delivery as well!
Competitiveness
This beast even beats the higher tier hisense l9g ($5000), lg hu85la ($6000), and samsung lsp9t ($6500) on some key aspects (se... Read More
It's similar to l9g when calibrated+ gaming is great with only 30ms running 4k@60hz.
This was a deal breaker for many usts like the benq v7050i (74ms) & lg hu715qw (55ms)+ significantly better focus uniformity on... Read More
This review is not about a comparison, rather all the plus/minus i've found during my research and the actual usage of the px1-pro.

This is my first short throw laser project so i don’t have much to compare to other than regular flat screen tvs and just a cheap overhead projector that i’ve had

The screen made a big difference when compared to just shining on the wall as i received the projector before the screen and wanted to try it out before getting the screen set up

It should be noted that to make a 120” screen the thing has to be fairly low to the ground if you don’t have an incredibly high ceiling

Mine is in the basement and the ceiling is probably 9’ high

The projector is on a short stand that i found and is about 16” tall

It also has to sit about a foot and a half away from the wall to make the screen that big

While shopping around i obviously found many that were far more expensive

Adjusting the screen size and the corner points is pretty self explanatory just takes some playing with the positioning of the unit
