You may have to use wood or other type of shim below slider for window to raise it up as i did it you have a lip that is higher than inner window ledge

The hose connector to unit and to the window slider are often problematic you get one to connect and it comes apart as you are trying to connect other end

I did use some painters tape to keep the unit attachment in the slot as it tends to disconnect when you move the unit
