Highlights
Quality
This hard drive has been a very dependable solid product.
This is an excellent hard drive it spins at 7200 rpm and has a 32 mb cache.
Even with heavy disk usage it is impossible to hear this drive over the sound of the 120mm fan in the case.
I posted hd pix of the thing along with the redaacted sales slip on some web pages and a refund was quicklyissued to my neighbor.
Price
I would recommend for any one needing a reasonable priced hdd for back up or main operating drive

Received product in the expected amount of time.
Packaging/appearance
Good packaging, quiet, fast, all according to expectations.
This came in a nice fitted brown box with a label that had all the necessary info.
The one that came in dead was poorley packed and not from amazon.
Inside it was in a sealed static free bag and a plastic holder that keeps it from moving in the box.
Competitiveness
Hitachi is the best drive i have ever used .
I have used hard drives from all the major manufacturers over the years and the hitachi's are far and away the most reliable.
It upset me and many computer builders when hitachi sold out to seagate.
Both drives are about the same price, but the company t88 provided a small rebate for the error and apologized.
