Pros & Cons

Pros

Hizashi has the market cornered on this specific size. Bulb is shorter than the incandescent it replaces, but works well and provides a clean, white light.

These lights are brighter and a whiter shade of light, so the interior is better lit and has a more modern look. They're arguably *too* bright, and sometimes there's a flicker, but i'm pretty sure that's caused by the ancient ballast in this fridge wh...  Read More

They look great in our ceiling light fixture and we are very happy with them now. Just the right brightest for my application. These are being used in old exterior stairway lights.

Very well packed in separate boxes with no breakage. Careful removing them from the packaging. Since these are leds i don't anticipate having to replace them as often as before.

Cons

The bulb is brighter than a halogen (barely) and it's cheap. It flickers madly, definitely in a frequency range my eyes can detect. The light it casts is greenish which is very unpleasant.

Quality

The quality of the light is brighter, more distinct, and makes everything in the 'fridge clearer.

These bulbs made the frig look more modern with the led lighting.

But maybe go for the 2700k option instead of 5000k if you intend to put them above your stove, range, or cook-top.

Price

-in my opinion, the price is a little high.

But the original bulb from viking is not available anymore and cost 40$ in the past.

Packaging/appearance

I installed one of these bulbs in the range-light below my microwave (samsung me16k3000as).

Competitiveness

Purchased these led bulbs to replace six old 40w incandescent bulbs in my refrigerator.

Led lamps made the interior of the refrigerator whiter than the previous yellow 40w bulbs that were hot to touch.

Reduced energy usage from 240 watts (six 40w incandescent bulbs) to 24 watts led.

Damn fire inspector came to my store and said my bulds went visible.
