Pros & Cons
Pros
The resolution is good for a 800x480 screen. The non-hd resolution of 800x400 actually works well with raspberry pi.
Hmtech 7 inch display works as intended with high resolution and best of all it is touchscreen. It's one fancy trick is that it is a 5 point (capacitive) touch monitor. Touchscreen is very responsive.
It is very small, but that makes it suited for spaces that a full size monitor wouldn't work. The screen is just enough to accomplish tasks i need to do but not huge to take up much space. This screen is the right size for a raspberry pi, and can be e... Read More
The only downsides i have found with this monitor is that i could not find a brightness control, adjusting brightness in the os had no impact on the panel. Thankfully, this one is much more usable. It is on nice and bright but i would like to be able ... Read More
Cons
But it is not good for gaming or viewing videos/photos. According to the info on the pc it is hdcp compliant, it's not.

It suffers beyond its recommended resolution, the sides don't meet the edge of the screen even when you do, and the back side is exposed.
Price
I love how inexpensive and simple it was to add a small monitor to my set up.
Well worth the price compared to others
Then i realized the aida64 software is $60.
It's not a high resolution screen by any means, but if you need a small screen that get the basic job done, for low cost, this is the one
Packaging/appearance
It came very well packaged and with all accessories you would need to get it working out of the box.
After i unboxed the display, i connected the included usb-c cable to a power source, and connected the included hdmi cable to t... Read More
Competitiveness
I have a similar 7" lcd that's 1080x600 with speakers and it has slightly better speakers and touch, but it cost more than twice as much.
Examples:i have a headless server and rather than rdp, kvm, or a full screen and keyboard to debug, i just have a wireless keyb... Read More
