Stop reading my crummy writing and go read the book yourself. Hogfather is one i have reread multiple times and can't get enough of. Reading at bedtime can result in an all-nighter.
Great buildup. The story underscores this all. Comedy doesn't dilute the plot in a negative way.

I know that some of his stories, especially his newer works, tend to be gimmicky. But not here. This is really just a kind of cover or excuse glued on to a wretched excess.

The point of view shifts continuously and all without the benefit of chapter breaks which is nothing new for a discworld book

She’s related to death himself and just wants to be left alone everyone has a relative of some sort that sometimes they’d rather not see but she won’t give in to isolationism when it gets right down to it
