Pros

I play the flute and a bit of piano and this was an excellent addition to my collection. I am not really a musician, but it is fun to play this. This instrument is a good value for the money.

Hohner is a brand i trust, and this product delivers. Researched a few products on amazon and decided to order this one.

Cons

Said it was backordered and finally received a package on february 25, 2013. Hose cracked after several months of light use.

This needs lots of strong, consistent wind especially for playing chords :)

It's got a solid weight and doesn't feel like a toy.

It is not cheaply made and has a good sound.

Price

Love this inexpensive instrument for a child.

This is an affordable musical instrument to learn and play music.

About what i expected for the price.

For only $50 you can’t go wrong.

Packaging/appearance

And much to my surprise, it came with a beautiful black cloth cover for the case!

However, box was damaged so beware if you are planning on giving this as a gift.

The included bag was pretty nice too.

Competitiveness

There might be cheaper melodicas out there, but i recommend to go with a trusted brand like hohner.
