I received what looks like an open box.
The drone is clearly not new, the drone box was not sealed, one of the 4 folding arms is not "locking" like the 3 others.
Competitiveness
The iphone app is easy to use with similar functionality of other holy stone flight apps.
With the hs161, this drone does have the optical flow and the ease of flying is like night and day compared to the hs200.
It's much better than the $70+ drone i bought last time.
Having on-board memory is one of the reasons why non-jittery video is possible, unlike the dji tello.

It did turn out that the inverted videos were caused by an operator controlled option on the easy fly software

Drones dont fly upside down at this price level nor does the need for inverted videos and photos strike me

My first drone was their hs200 which had no optical flow for stabilization and took a bit of time to get comforable flying it especially indoors
