We usually run it in the low setting and the noise can still be heard just something to be considered if you are hard to get into sleep otherwise the noise is not that bad more like a water dripping kind of sound

Must also be very careful to not pour water out from the wrong side otherwise water will get in the airhole which could be easily overlooked design flaw
