After seeing hubby be frustrated with doing joint taping and bedding the old fashioned way i hit internet and researched

This thing worked very slickapplied just the right amount of mud to stick the tape without having it glopping everywhere

I used fabric tape vs paper tape so that may make a difference

This tool saves an enormous amount of time over hand taping
