Very simple to setup with a barcode in homekit. Set up took under 30 seconds and was as simple as scanning the barcode on the plug with the apple home app.
Very impressed with the plugs. The support is fantastic, very helpful and quick to respond. Very happy to recommend to others.
Once configured it is easy to rename and change the icon on the device. Siri functionality works excellently and the timers etc also faultless.
Cons
Months later and the socket no longer works. They are very temperamental to setup and are guaranteed to stop working.
Doesn't work with apple home app even though apple homekit is plastered all over the packaging. Re installed via there own app - complete mess.

Works perfectly with the home app, can set up schedules for plugs to come on perfectly.

Competitiveness
I will be buying more meross products in the future.
I'm now very interested in trying out more meross products to further automating bits and pieces around the house.
If they had a slightly smaller footprint they’d be perfect
However, it looks like you can do the same using the standalone meross app.

Easy to set up brilliant once on however with an extension lead they didn’t work moved to main wall socket and they worked fine

This is a real pain if you have a bt home hub and a small house

Im only using for low wattage appliances not sure if theyre suitable for high power gobbling appliances

If you want to use homekit you have to set up your ipad as a home hub and leave it at home and plugged in so think ill be using the meross app if i want a remote connection
