Pros

Dehumidifiers draw a hefty power load at startup. Very quiet, even on turbo mode. Even quieter turning off turbo mode.

There are some minor wall leaks that have always keep the floor wet/damp depending on the weather. Recently started encapsulating crawl space and needed a dehumidifier to control the high humidity in the south.

If you keep up with emptying it out then it won't be an issue unless you are away from your home for awhile. I just wish the bucket was a bit larger.

The outlet servicing the sump pump is the logical place to plug in the dehumidifier. Something to keep in mind when considering this, or any similar unit, for use near a sump pump.

Cons

be careful when purchasing this item. Customer service is horrific.

This has a turbo setting which is quiet and still doesn't work very well. It's a shame that they saved pennies by not putting a gasket in place that would prevent the rattling.
