Very stable. I have it on my lap board and it is very sturdy. Can adjust it to all different positions.

The stand is sturdy and well-made, and bends and moves in a variety of ways for the best viewing angle.

I used this and it was good for the first year but after 12 months it began to not hold my ipad so well so that it would slip down.
