Pros & Cons
Pros
The foam is much stiffer and less bouncy-soft than some other chairs. I strongly recommend the purchase of a better set of castors to replace those that come with the chair.
Lumbar support is supportive and not intrusive. The back is just the right amount of support. Even if i slip a little and try to get sloppy with my sitting, it’s on to setting a firm yet supple example. Cushion is supportive without fatigue.
Only thing is, its a little too tall even when lowered all the way. I love all the ways one can adjust this chair. Needs some pressure even when tension is released to tilt back - that's mostly fine - adds to support.
Cons
The chair leans back far to much. The lumbar support part is flimsy, thin plastic that deflects a lot with very little pressure. It mostly deflects to match the way you sit instead of providing good support.
It feels like a generic big box chair from their top model. Installation instructions are not clear enough for me to build this chair. It turns out these have a thin metal shell filled with plastic.
The wheels are just standard office chair wheels and i would roll backwards everytime i leaned back. Any lateral movement produces pops of the kind that convince you the chair is about to spontaneously disassemble itself. There is a critical flaw in i... Read More

Highlights
Quality
Reclining is very comfortable with the seat and back angling at different rates.
A few words with the drawings would have made learning to adjust the chair so much easier.
This is not typical, but is a sign of poor quality control.
Overall, a good quality chair but not perfect.
Price
Even if this thing breaks in a few years, the cost is such that i can buy another one without going broke.
Shipping
Chair seems nice but it arrived very poorly packaged and apparently an arm fell out during the shipping.
Transporting the chair that distance or paying shipping charges to the dealer isn't worth it to me.
Hon customer service quickly dealt with a part replacement request due to shipping damage that ripped the seatback mesh along t... Read More
Packaging/appearance
I agree with the other reviews about the packaging.
As others have noted, the shipment packaging for this item is terrible.
Competitiveness
I'm a 6-foot tall, 190 lb male.
We bought two based on reviews by wirecutter.

The box was barely taped shut and it looked like someone had just dumped a bunch of refurbished parts into a box and for a few moments i thought there were pieces missing

But upon inspection everything was there and the parts appeared new and unused which was surprising since it could easily get scuffed bc it is so poorly packed
