Well, i just bought a brand new unit and it was super expensive.
Packaging/appearance
My pack came with four individually wrapped filters so you can store without worrying it will collect dust and debris.
They did come dented but that was because the outer box was damaged during shipping.
Competitiveness
This is a much better deal than buying similar merv 11 filters from home depot or lowe's where they are about $18 a piece.
These work just as well as another brand we've been using for years, but are 20 bucks less.
There are better filters out there, but they cost much more.

However you have to be careful when there are too many and the filter is too thick
