I would say this unit definitely helps but it will not cool the room the way an ac unit would

If you cant roll this easily between the bathroomkitchen to the room where you want it i would look to get something else because the tank is way too big to shuttle containers of water back and forth to fill it

The tank is 5 gallons but you really do need to fill up at least a 3rd of it to reach the minimum amount of water for the cool function to work and it takes forever to fill
