The filter is removable and washable. We have the drain pump set up to automatically drain as it needs to out the window.

It is quiet & sturdy. Not very noisy.

Cons

It locks out and shuts off constantly. I have to unplug it to restart it. This, along with many other brands ( assumingly made by the same manufacture) were recently recalled.

There was a hole in the box, rips and tears in the box.
