Pros

Humidity reading is very easy to read while the temperature is a little challenging in a dimly lit room. It's easy to change between fahrenheit and celsius.

First one was purchased at least 2-3 years ago and the second was ordered recently on amazon after buying a * one by a different manufacturer in-between. Love the compact size, sit anywhere design. And the battery seems to last forever.

Cons

This humidity meter is extremely inaccurate. It reads 15% humidity when it should be reading 43%. It takes 15 minutes to change the temperature.

It excludes the additional health information as shown on the product picture. Battery replacement does nothing. There are cheaper, less known that works better.

The batteries in the crappy one died after a couple of months (we bought it in a local store because it was the only one they had).

Price

00 and it could not accurately measure temp or humidity.

Moral of the story: when purchasing moderately priced measuring devices, buy several and test them together at regular intervals.

I bought this one after i bought another device from another retailer for $18.

No idea if the cheaper devices would have been just as good though.

Competitiveness

I have 2 more which i bought elsewhere that are identical and post the name honeywell on it.

We found batteries for it and replaced them, and then it died again after a month or so and it was more expensive than the honeywell.

As compared to the other device from a different manufacturer.

A bit expensive compared to other brands but honeywell is a very reputable company.
