Pros

The filter is a mottled brownish color, but is clean and performs well in your humidifier. Immediate improvement in air quality. The flaky stuff is what keeps it from getting mold on it since it is wet all the time during the heating season.

Fits perfectly into the rheem. Easy to replace, slides right in. Perfect size and lasting pretty good.

Arrived on time and was as advertised. Came in factory packaging and suran wrap and price was comparable to other places.

Cons

The filter itself is fine but it came without installation instructions. Most of the beds upstairs are covered in little white flakes from the filter.

Original replacement part-no after market messing around

This is the oem replacement pad for my whole house humidifier.

It was so clogged with calcium that it had basically stopped working.

There is a warning light that says it needs to be replaced that comes on once a year.
