All in all, a quality product at a fair price -recommended.
It's got a decent quality feel, and whilst not silent, below my expectations in terms of noise levels.
I am satisfied with the enclosed water-catching container, which is capacious.
This can be managed by using the continuous mode, and using the water hose that is included with the unit.

Competitiveness
In fact it is much quieter than our more portable ecoair device.
While not cheap, it's well-made, neatly finished, easy to use and appears to be well engineered.

This dehumidifier replaced a delonghi we bought a while back which although smaller overall had about the same footprint as the honeywell model

The air flows out of the front of the unit and despite the controls being readable from the front the water container is located at the back out of sight

Its not quite quiet enough that i could reasonably have it in a quiet bedroom for example but its barely audible over most other general noise

As for the noise all motors will hum but i dont find this intrusive

Operation is straightforward the dust filters are washable which is a useful feature to have and it doesnt seem to draw much power
