Two red wires are not used

In the installation book it state to add a 24v transformer in series with the wiring however the transformer is built into the humidifier and it state on the yellow wires not to connect to a power source

The humidistat controller is not accurate and i purchased two of the same units one for another house with the same results

I previously had a bypass humidifier but with the low temperatures produced from heat pumps the bypass model failed at adding humidity

With an updated installation manual and a more reliable humidistat i dont think there would be much for people to complain about this machine

The humidifier fan is audible through my vents when it is running but not much different than when the furnace fan runs

For control you can optionally use the air flow sensor and the provided basic humidistat of you have a normal thermostat

I did not use this as i have an ecobee3 smart thermostat which works extremely well with the humidifier
