First off i used to have the floor one that was like bulky and you had to lift the whole top of it to get the filter out and i had to set it on a towel

This one is waaaay better i don’t have to make a mess taking out the filter the filter isn’t donut shaped making it hard to put the top back on everything about this is way more convenient and to me way worth the money

I also prefer the evaporative type because unless you use distilled water the mist ones eventually shoot mineral dust all over your stuffthis was truly the best choice but remember to get backup filters and change them when they start accumulating weird gross stuff and colours
