Furnace Compatibility
Customers have mixed opinions regarding the furnace compatibility of this Honeywell Home C-Wire Power Adapter. While most customers were able to successfully install it for their Honeywell WiFi thermostats, a few encountered issues and required professional assistance or replacement with another brand's adapter.
C-Wire Adaptation
Customers generally positive about the C-Wire Adaptation feature of the product, which allows them to use newer WiFi thermostats without having a physical C-wire in their heating/cooling systems. Some customers had to switch wiring at the AC control unit and found Honeywell support helpful during installation. However, some customers mentioned that the wiring process was not straightforward if their heating/cooling system wasn't labeled properly. Overall, this product is a must-have for those who want to install a smart thermostat but only have four wires instead of five.

My hvac systems are 18 years old and the thermostat wires had no “c” wire and there was no extra wire at the thermostat.
Price
My furnace guy charged me $60 to install it all.
This little 20 dollar item saved me a lot of trouble, watch a youtube video and do exactly what they say.
Installing new wires was cost prohibitive (hundreds of $).
Thought 3: pay an ungodly amount of money to have an ac guy run new wires.
Shipping
Our energy provider offered a free smart thermostat and we received it.
Packaging/appearance
Came in good packaging and not damaged but didn't need for my thermostat
