Pros & Cons
Pros
Yes the price is hefty, but i promise you, you won’t regret it. The dual direction is very helpful.
From honeywell. Com. The mist is warm but not scalding hot, so this humidifier feels safer than the older designs.
It barely whispers, it is that soothing. It's pretty quiet, with the minor exception of the occasional groan while producing steam.
The mist is just right, and you can swivel it to where you want it. I have my warm mist, and it reaches my nostrils! This really puts-out the mist. Swiveling nozzles which is another awesome feature.
It is helping relieve the dryness. It gets pretty stuffy in his room.
Cons
This machine is too finicky and too expensive. Such a disappointment. The kids have generic inexpensive ones off amazon that also don’t need filters.
Highlights
Quality
This dual mist humidifier pumps out a good, steady amount of mist on the highest of its 3 power settings.
The fully separate systems for hot and cold steam help ensure high quality production of each.
Since getting my new hvac system, space constraints have made it impossible to install a furnace mount humidifier.
I’ve had it running on the lowest mode for the straight days and it still hasn’t run out of water!
Price
I do wish it had an automatic shut-off based on humidity but for the price you can't beat it.
For the price i am not impressed.
Yes the price is hefty, but i promise you, you won’t regret it.
Shipping
And it arrived just as covid came to visit, so it's been an extra bonus.
I called and they sent me free replacement unit from ms which arrived the very next day.
Packaging/appearance
I opened it to clean and it was loaded with film and deposits.
Competitiveness
I'm most impressed with this unit when comparing it to my other warm/hot humidifiers.
I’ve spent hours cleaning both the cvs and vicks brands humidifiers and still they don’t work as efficiently compared to these honeywell’s.
That's not a problem for my home, but others may want to consider honeywell's step-up model hwc778 if more control is desired.

This is a functional humidifier but definitely has a large number of negatives
Posted by a reviewer on Amazon
It makes a distinctive noise not too loud but rather annoying and it has a very bright un controllable light that is difficult to cover up both of which make it unusable at night in a bedroom

It is the kind that requires you to take out that tank and turn it upside down to refill and i will never understand why they continue to use that design when it is possible to build one that can be refilled without removing the tank entirely

Overall it is fine but the minor negatives definitely drag it down

However as the weather flip flops rapidly at the beginning of our winter i want to add essential oils or a vapor oil and that needs a warm mist humidifier

I was also impressed with how quickly it starts up it seemed like the room started filling with mist almost instantly
