It does add to the styling and finishes the top nicely. I like the omnidirectional heating capability.

Now with the cold weather kicking in, getting some heat in is essential to keep the damp away and keeping warm.
With the television on i soon didn't notice the heater working.
Competitiveness
I love this heater, it's a high-quality fan heater with cool retro styling (i'm curious as to how much is intended).
It's a little on the expensive side but 5 stars all round.

Its not metal though the body is plastic making it very lightweight and much lighter than it looks

When cycling it shows the thermostat temperature briefly and then reverts to room temperature much like a centralheating thermostat

It has a wide base and is difficult to knock over but if it is knocked over it will switch off and back on automatically when stood back up

It can heat a small room up a few degrees very quickly on the high setting at 360° but this probably isnt the most efficient setting to use for long periods

In a larger room it struggled to reach the thermostat temperature in fact it didnt manage to take it over 22° in an afternoon

The noise it makes is little more than an electric fan in summertime i would not describe it as noisy
