Cons
I use this unit in battery mode and from the beginning it consumed batteries at a crazy rate. It controls 1 heater and is rarely touched, so this was odd. Support is terrible, with honeywell referring you to resideo.
Highlights
Quality
Absolutely best thermostat i have ever purchased.
It paired with the vera system very easily and is maintaining the communication beautifully
It paired very easily and appears to stay connected to the z-wave hub.
Installed the batteries, snapped the old unit off the wall and plugged in this new unit.
Price
I save hundreds of dollars a year just due to the advanced lockout settings for heat pumps.
I had this installed by an hvac company for $75.
Shipping
Arrived on time and works as expected.
Thermostat arrived on time and installed without a hitch.
I had a few setup questions and i was able to call honeywell (only a 1 minute wait) and they provided direction.

The connection kit that comes in the box was well though out and made connecting the small wires a breeze.
Competitiveness
Other smart thermostats like ecobee and nest need a c wire or power adapter which makes for a complex installation.
I chose z-wave over wifi connected and use a samsung smartthings hub.
