Pros

Easy to install and troubleshoot. Easy install. Plug and play.

A little pricey but did the job nicely. Easy installation:installing the replacement motor was a breeze.

This is a direct model replacement for my zone 1 damper controller. Swapped out the old damper motor for this one, takes about 5 minutes. Actuates a damper valve in your multi-zone a/c ductwork.

It’s likely a builder brand that doesn’t exist anymore. Durability and reliability:honeywell is a trusted brand. I hope this newer replacement will last longer than the older model.

Game-changer for personalized climate control. Has an open /closed indicator guage and light. Much cheaper on amazon then local hvac supplier.

Cons

Damper fit but stopped working in less than 1 year. Won't buy again.

My damper motor was making loud buzzing noise and vibrating my duct work and finally stopped working.

It is power close and spring open, so even if this one breaks, it will fail in the open position.

Price

Pricey but very easy install and perfect replacement for old honeywell damper motors.

He quoted me $867 for 3 new style actuators plus $279 labor to install them….

The box came with two set screws, but i only used the short one to avoid having it get caught with the insulation.

There was no tool or key included in the package, but i had the right size allen wrench bit.

Competitiveness

I did not replace a honeywell brand actuator.

The original honeywell zone motor is way better than the cheaper replacement motors and stronger.

The company wanted to replace both the damper motor/ actuator and the zone control board.
