Pros

Attaching exhaust hose was easy. Very easy to setup and keeps my room cool. The only downside is that the exhaust hose is longer, but amazon sells extensions.

I have a handicapped battery powered mobility scooter that stays in its shed hotel under the shade of my carport. It runs really efficiently, and reaches set temperature quickly. Thermostat is pretty accurate and maintains temp well.

Cons

Lightest such unit on the market, it's an unwieldy weight. Without handholds, this unit is much more difficult to move. Honeywell out here doing bad business.

Honeywell thermostat is inaccurate between 0 and 3 degrees, depending on the specific temperature. Result is essentially the same 52db gain when transitioning from compressor off to compressor on. Calibrated thermometers indicate room temp is 74.

The other side is thin, flimsy plastic that not only heats up just from the outside heat, but also leaves a total of 1/2 worth of gaps. Exhaust tube reaches surface temps. Without it, there is no way this unit could cool a shoe box.

This honeywell portable 9100 btu up to 400 square foot air conditioner excels in every way.

My central ac unit is on its last legs so i bought this to keep cool without working it so hard.

Price

This honeywell, w/blue trim, is a bargain especially if everyone installs it with thought and 10 minutes of common sense.

In an expensive area that costs 35-cents per kilowatt hour for electricity, this unit only burns about 25-cents per hour.

You will need to get some weather stripping which is very inexpensive.

For an area that cost 20-cents/kilowatt hour, the cost is about $45/month in the above scenario.

Packaging/appearance

Very well and neatly packaged as well as easy to clean.

The packaging was phenomenal, so no hassles with returns.

I did some research before ordering for: packaging, performance, installation, voltage used, and would i be emptying water.
