Pros

Easy to install with a screwdriver and basic understanding of electricity. Figuring out what is “load” is easiest. The instructions for installing and programming it are clear.

Problem solved by using 10. This timer solves that problem. Works as advertised.

Installing this controller takes a bit more effort than a regular single pole or 3-way switch. The unit comes with a 6 inch red jumper wire and instructions to hook two sides of your existing second switch together.

You don't have to “undo” your manual override in any way. This is because it is powered 24/7 for the display. It knows your local dusk to dawn via latitude and longitude.

Installed this to replace a 7 year old previous honeywell model. Your three way system remains totally intact. The only confusion seems to be with 3 way application.

Cons

The screws that come with the switch are cheap and burr and strip easily when tightening the switch down against the wiring behind it. Honeywell's support leaves something to be desired, requiring a fee to replace the dead unit.

Price

Item was more expensive than i'd like to have paid, but it seems durable and will likely save me money in energy costs.

Packaging/appearance

In my house one box had the light fixture and one 3way switch the other box had a 3way switch and the power.

If you have a 3 way setup make sure the box you install it in has both the fixture and the power going to it as well.

Competitiveness

These switches are significantly better than the other one we tried.

Comparing to other brands that need another compatible accessory switch to work, this is a blessing!
