Pros
This tower unit oscillates (or not), has 5 settings (from sleep to power cool), and a remote. It is very quiet. There are times that the highest one is a bit loud. Not intrusive in decor.
The rotating feature is great! Enjoying the product. It has a nice rotation radius as well. This is a great fan that is very compact and moves a lot of air.
Great cooling air flow. At night, the two lowest speeds work well and in the daytime, we move them both to our home offices. The other one i have is on a loft and the air circulation is also very good.
Cons
This fan is probably better on a bedroom or dorm. It still pivots but the internal blades don't turn, even at the highest speed. The sleep mode reduces fan blade noise but the motor resonates in the case and produces an annoying low frequency rumble.

For less than sixty bucks i can’t complain, but if you like greater air volume this is not a good choice.
Competitiveness
In my comparison, i did notice that the oscillation on the eight was a bit smoother and quieter than the oscillation on the five.
I don’t know if that was specific to the two units i compared, or whether that’s true across the models.

As much as i prefer a traditional large floor fan there are plenty of times when thats not an option because of limited space or noise

Like most reviews things are relative depending on your expectations its not an ac unit so we did not expect some mystic transformation
