Pros & Cons
Pros
Easy to install, same footprint, fits outlet box, no refinishing necessary on the wall. We are older and the backlit screen makes it easy for us to see.
Like most electric baseboard i've been around, it makes a ticking/rattling sound as it cools down. Easy to use just up and down arrows. Wonderful upgrade for baseboard or blower heater thermostat.
The thermostats work exactly as they should. Works as advertised. But. Just saying. This unique product from honeywell solves that. The device works well, so far.
These are the perfect replacement for dial thermostats. After getting the dip switch right it works fine. Replaced the ld circular, dial, mechanical thermostat in my house.
Does a nice job of throttling the baseboard heater. Maintains the temperature by keeping the heaters warm rather than waiting until it gets cold, and blasting them on again.
Cons
The rlv3150a requires voltage to be present on the wires going to it to power the display. Replacement will be meaningless if voltage is not present. Very disappointed as my other rlv430 units are spot on to within 1 degree f.

These thermostats are supposed to make baseboard heating much more comfortable by maintaining the exact setpoint, and more cost... Read More
Competitiveness
Installed for a 220v electric baseboard heater.
This unit has a fan switch to operate a 220v wall heater with a fan.
Not much different than 220v outlets, just open the breaker as needed.
