Great product, works perfectly, easy to program, and perfect for older homes with out a ground wire.

Packaging/appearance
This is below the 40w minimum, but the lights appear to work fine.
Competitiveness
I have connected these to my homes outdoor floodlights which are using two 18watt floodlight bulbs.
Maybe the timer won't work with much less than 40w or only cfl bulbs, but the two outdoor timers work great for me, so far.
5 watts each and one cfl bulb that is 14 watts for a total of 36w.

The original mechanical timer ran the fan on a 50 duty cycle cycling every couple hours with a loud clink as the switch cycled
